UK Extends Demand Flexibility Service For Tuesday

National Grid ESO has ordered to activate the demand flexibility service for Tuesday between 4:30-6 PM, the company said.

  • “As part of cautious measures to ensure we continue to have adequate operational reserves tomorrow evening the ESO has activated the Demand Flexibility Service for Tuesday evening between 4:30pm-6pm”, it said.
  • The scheme has been first activated on Monday evening, amid cold weather and lower wind forecasts.
  • ESO said it is looking for bids from suppliers to help save up to 341MW of power during the period.
