Renewable energy producer Drax is moving closer to its planned 600MW underground hydro pump storage plant in Scotland as it has started seismic surveys for the project, the firm said today.

  • The new plant could be operational by 2030, the firm said last year.
  • The project will be located near its 440MW Cruachan pump storage power Station.
