UK LNG Sendout Lowest Since October: Argus

LNG

UK LNG sendout fell to its lowest level since October 2023 during the previous week amid muted demand, according to Argus.

  • UK sendout fell to 108 GWh March 9, compared to 332 GWh March 1, the lowest daily sendout since Oct. 1.
  • Gas consumption March 9 was 177 mcm, a sharp drop from the 278 mcm on the same date in 2023.
  • Low sendout is likely a sign of muted demand, Argus said, coupled with continuous imports from the interconnector pipelines.
  • Regasification rates are likely to be muted over the coming weeks. Milder temperatures and stronger wind generation are weighing on gas demand. Only a few LNG carriers have recently declared for arrival into the UK.
