  • Comments come ahead of a press conference from UK PM Johnson this afternoon, at which he will present the government’s plan to roll out coronavirus booster vaccines to all adults in the next few weeks. The Mirror reports the timing as 4pm UK time.
  • Also (as per Politico): Javid will be up in the Commons from around 1 p.m. leading the debate new measures, with a vote coming at around 1600GMT. Johnson said in words briefed by Downing Street last night that the restrictions will “buy us time in the face of this new variant” while scientists determine the severity of the threat.
