GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: UK PM May's spokesman has just now confirmed that there are no
plans to hold an indicative vote in parliament on Brexit options. This is
despite May's ally and UK Trade Minister Liam Fox backing the idea yesterday.
- The Mar-19 Gilt future has edged 25 ticks lower to 123.43, trading without any
real direction in the 123.37-123.62 range.
- Short-end Gilts have underperformed today causing a steady yet unspectacular
flattening across the cash curve.
- The 2-Yr yield is up 1.9bps at 0.742%, 5-Yr up 1.7bps at 0.883%, 10-Yr up
1.8bps at 1.258%, and the 30-Yr up 1.6bps at 1.808%.
- Focus moving forward will be on headlines from the UK cabinet meeting tomorrow
where May's defence of her deal is expected to face yet more pressure.
