GILT SUMMARY: UK PM Theresa May has met with union leaders today in a bid to
rally support for her Brexit deal and has resisted their calls for a second
referendum. 
- Further denting hopes of another vote, the People's Vote bloc in parliament
has abandoned a proposed amendment for a second referendum citing the lack of
support from the Labour Party leadership.
- Gilts rallied from mid-morning, but have been trading sideways since midday
within a 4bp range. The curve has flattened slightly with 2s10s and 2s30s down
around 2bps on the day.
- The Mar-19 gilt future trades at 123.01 near the middle of the day's range.
- The short sterling futures strip has flattened slightly, with greens/blues up
3.5-4.5 ticks.
- While equities are a little soft today, cable remains bid and holding above
the 1.30 level.
