US Crude, Gasoline Stocks Likely Rose Last Week, Distillate Draw Seen: Reuters
- U.S. crude oil and gasoline stocks were expected to have risen last week, while distillate inventories likely fell, an extended Reuters poll showed on Tuesday.
- Nine analysts polled by Reuters estimated on average that crude inventories rose by about 3 mbbl. in the week to Feb 7.
- The poll was conducted ahead of weekly reports from industry group API, due at 4:30 p.m. ET (2130 GMT) on Tuesday, and the EIA, at 10:30 a.m. ET (1530 GMT) on Wednesday.
- Crude inventories rose by 8.7 mbbl. to 423.8 mbbl. in the week ended Jan 31, the EIA said.
- Analysts estimated gasoline stocks rose by about 1.4 mbbl. last week, and distillate inventories, which include diesel and heating oil, dropped by about 1.5 mbbl.
- The rate of refinery utilization was estimated to have risen by 0.4% from 84.5% of total capacity in the previous week, the poll found.
