US Equity Futures/Yields Rise As House Passes Debt Ceiling Agreement

US equity futures blipped higher post the US House voting in favor of the debt ceiling bill. Eminis got above 4200, +0.30%, but we now sit slightly lower, last 4196/97. Futures are in positive territory though, reversing earlier losses. Nasdaq futures sit around flat. US yields have also ticked higher, the 2yr back to 4.42%, +1.5bps, against earlier lows of 4.375%.

  • The USD is slightly firmer, the BBDXY back to 1246.40. USD/JPY is back to 139.35/40, versus earlier lows just under 139.00. AUD and NZD remain on the backfoot. The A$ was last close to 0.6490, NZD/USD around 0.6005/10.
