US Henry Hub Drifts Lower after Above Normal EIA Inventory Build

US Henry Hub falls back to near flat on the day after the EIA US inventory data showed a greater than normal and slightly larger than expected build.

  • US Natgas JUN 23 down -0.1% at 2.3$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 21 Apr showed a build of +79bcf compared to expectation of a +74bcf build and the 5-year average for this time of year of +39bcf.
  • Total US inventories are near the top of the five year range at 2,009bcf compared to the average of 1,627bcf.
