EQUITIES: US indices slightly lower at the open, but faring slightly better than
their European counterparts (DAX, CAC lower by over 1% apiece). Nonetheless, S&P
futures trade close to the lows of the day and below 2700 for the first time
since end-May where the brief sell-off bottomed out at 2679.25, just ahead of
the 50-dma at the time.
