US Natgas Declines After EIA Data

NATURAL GAS

US Natgas posted further declines given a smaller than expected US gas inventory draw, EIA data show.

    • US Natgas MAY 23 down -3.1% at 2.12$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 24 March showed a -47Bcf draw compared to expectations of a -54Bcf draw.
  • Stocks were 442 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 321 Bcf above the five-year average of 1,532 Bcf. At 1,853 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
