  • That compares to an eight-year high of 2.306 tcf over the same period in 2024 and the five-year average of 1.878 tcf.
  • The April-Oct summer injection season is projected to boost storage to 3.604 tcf by Oct. 31, the lowest in three year.
  • The five-year average for storage levels by Oct. 31 is 3.783 tcf.
  • The 384 active storage fields in the lower 48 states had a design capacity of 4.666 tcf in Nov. 2023.
