US Refinery Maintenance Update:

Exxon Mobil’s Baytown Refinery shut its Pipestill 8 CDU for 35-40 days’ work Sep. 27, taking around 230k b/d offline, according to Bloomberg.

  • At TotalEnergies SE’s Port Arthur refinery on the Texas Gulf Coast The 165k b/d CDU (ACU-1) and 55k b/d VDU were shut during the late morning of Sept. 22. Also, the 80k b/d CDU, 52k b/d VDU, and 80k b/d FCC remained offline for planned work, according to Wood Mackenzie
  • Delta’s Monroe Trainer refinery is undergoing scheduled maintenance to the FCC, an alkylation unit, naphtha hydrotreater and heating oil hydrotreater and due to reopen Nov. 20, according to Bloomberg. 95k b/d of capacity is expected to be offline.
  • Motiva’s Port Arthur refinery will see 84k b/d of capacity offline from 0ct. 1-Nov. 10, according to Bloomberg.
  • The Shell Norco refinery in Louisiana is due to shut the CDU around Oct. 1 for around 55 days of work, according to Bloomberg.
  • ExxonMobil’s Baton Rouge refinery is due to shut the 135k b/d Pipestill-7 CDU in October for maintenance. Around 90k b/d should be unavailable according to Bloomberg.
  • The CVR Coffeyville refinery is due to shut its coker, and crude until around Oct. 1 for 30-40 days, taking around 70k b/d offline.
