US to Lead Global LNG Exports in 2024: Kpler

The US is to lead global LNG exports in 2024, growing by 2.8% to a total of 88m mt, according to Kpler.

  • Global growth in LNG exports is expected to be 3.2% amid a recovery in output from the UAE and Brunei, added to emerging facilities in: Mozambique, Indonesia, Mexico, Congo, Senegal, and Mauritania.
  • Europe is forecast to consume 65% of the US LNG exports, with its demand strong due to the Groningen field shut down, Kpler said. Kpler expects demand to be up 11% in 2024.
  • Meanwhile, demand from China in 2024 is expected to grow by 7.7% in 2024.
