US Total Oil Exports At Record High Last Week

Total US oil exports — which include crude and refined products — jumped to a record high of nearly 12 million barrels a day last week. The jump was supported by petrochemical feedstock demand.

  • Shipments of so-called “other oils” — a category that includes naphtha and other petrochemical feedstocks — rose 644,000 barrels a day last week.
  • US fuel and crude exports towards Europe have been strong post European sanctions against Russia.
  • US fuel exports are expected to be strong in the coming weeks as US Gulf Cost refinery maintenance wraps up.
