BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: - US treasuries are trading in a tight range. The 10-year
benchmark trades at 2.844%, down from 2.857% with the 2s10s spread edging down
to 19.3bps from 20.5bps. The Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index and Conf. Board
Consumer Confidence survey data are out later today.
- The JGB Sep future is a touch lower, trading at 150.47
- German bunds have rallied since early morning and the curve has flattened on
the back of the long-end outperforming. The 10-year trades at 0.359% down from
0.379% and the 2s10s spread has narrowed to 94.3bps from 95.9bps.
- French OATS have rallied with little overall change in the curve.
- Italian BTPs have reversed previous losses. The 10-year trades at a yield of
3.158% from a high of 3.203% and in line with the open.
- Gilt yields have pushed lower since the open. Key levels: 2-year 0.717% (down
from 0.747%), 5-year 1.021% (1.046%), 10-year 1.432% (1.456%), 30-year 1.763%
(1.787%).
- Euro$ futures are flat to 0.5 ticks higher. Euribor futures greens/blues up
0.5-1.0 ticks.
