US TSY FLOWS: US Treasuries are trading little changed, digesting Wednesdays
FOMC statement following 2-way flow. 10-year Tsy yield is 0.3bp higher at
2.291%.
- During Asia session sources reported buying in 2-year and 5-year notes by
Asian central banks, real money accounts and credit funds. Sources also reported
large curve flattener trade going through screens: -13k FVU7 blocked at
118-04.25 vs +3k USU7 blocked at 153-09. There was also selling by credit
entities.
- During London, Treasuries were rather muted to slightly lower while EGBs and
Gilts played catch up. But then spiked to session lows on the back of block
seller in 10-yr Ultra futures -- 3,012 UXYU7 @ 135-01+, but then recovered after
block buys in 5-yr and 10-yr futures -- 3.35k FVU7 @ 118-02.75 & 4.3k TYU7 @
125-27+
- Today, is the heaviest day for company earnings announcements and will add to
a fairly decent data calendar that includes jobless claims and durable goods
orders.
