US TSYS SUMMARY: US Treasuries are weaker across the curve in a bear flattening
move, with the short-end underperforming.
- 2-Yr yields are up 1.2bps at 2.604%, 5-Yrs up 0.9bps at 2.712%, and 10-Yrs up
0.7bps at 2.826%.
- The 2s10s spread hit a new cycle low just after 0800BST at 21.041bps,
according to Bloomberg data.
- Eurodollar futures are weaker, with Sep20-to-Sep21 contracts underperforming,
down 1.5 ticks.
- Later today, Treasury sells 5-Yr TIPS for $14bln. Next week's auction plans
also announced.
- Data flow picks up today with initial jobless claims, Markit PMIs, and house
price data (FHFA Home Prices, and New Home Sales), with market also looking
ahead to Fed's Jackson Hole symposium starting tonight.
