DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD is back to unchanged and last deals at C$1.3509 after
operating within a 16 pip range overnight. 
- Oil ticked up but is off of session high and is likely to end this week with
the biggest weekly drop in a month. 
- Overnight news flow brought reports of a former Canadian diplomat Michael
Kovrig, one of the three Canadians detained in China in the aftermath of Huawei
CFO Meng's arrest in Vancouver, being denied lawyer access, which may add some
tension to Canada's relations with its 2nd largest trading partner. 
- Initial resistance noted at yesterday's peak at $1.3530, followed by the
1.618% swing from C$1.3445 to C$1.3254 at C$1.3563. Conversely, bears eye the
yesterday's low of C$1.3447, followed by the Dec 19 low of C$1.3416. 
- Canadian GDP & retail sales, as well as the BoC biz. outlook survey are in the
spotlight today.
