USD/CAD last C$1.3169, trading........>

DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD last C$1.3169, trading about a dozen pips higher on the
day after slipping some 30 pips on Friday on the back of USD weakness triggered
by dovish Fed rhetoric.
- Although oil prices continued their drift away from multi-month lows touched
last week, the pair edged higher after an initial downtick, with trade war
worries dominating early FX price action this week.
- Initial bullish focus falls on C$1.3187, where the rate peaked Friday. A break
above would give a green light for jumping back onto the C$1.32 handle.
Conversely, bears continue to eye the 21-DMA at C$1.3141, as they look to a
break below, before targeting Friday's lows of C$1.3127.
- Canada will see its CPI & retail sales figures released on Friday. Elsewhere,
BoC's Wilkins will speak twice on Tuesday.
