DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD sits at ~C$1.3080 after a ~40 pip fall from Tuesday's
high, as the recovery in U.S. equities outweighed the latest fall in oil prices
(WTI hit the lowest levels seen since August), allowing CAD to recover.
- CAD also garnered support ahead of today's BoC MonPol decision, with markets
pricing a in a 25bp rate hike (~90% probability).
- Bulls seek to close above Friday's high of C$1.3132, which would trigger a
bull flag formation, while bears look for a break of the 50-DMA at C$1.3015,
which would give a green light to targeting the 200-DMA at C$1.2908.
- Focus today falls on the aformentioned BoC MonPol decision.
