DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD trades at C$1.3070 at writing, consolidating after
legging higher over the past couple of session.
- The pair's rise is attributed to a rout in oil prices over the last few days,
as well as broader dollar strength.
- Staying above the 100-DMA at C$1.3065 would give bulls a green light to
challenge the channel top & 61.8% fibo resistance at C$1.3135. Bears keep an eye
on the Oct 10 low seeking to target the C$1.2898 200-DMA.
- Points of note today include Canadian CPI & retail sales ahead of the BoC's
decision next week.
