USD Firms, Only JPY Higher Than NY Closing Levels

The USD is backfoot on the front foot after an indifferent start to the session. At this stage, only JPY is firmer versus NY closing levels. The BDDXY is a touch higher, (+0.05% to 1233), but high beta FX is down around 0.25% at this stage. Headline flow has been light, while cross asset signals remain modest, albeit marginally supportive of the USD.

  • US futures remain down a touch in the equity space, while yields are slightly higher (2yr last near 4.105%, +0.5bps for the session).
  • USD/JPY is back close to unchanged for the session, earlier lows came in at 132.46, the pair last at 132.70/75.
  • AUD/USD is down around 0.20% to 0.6665/70. NZD/USD is in the region 0.6205/10, off by close to 0.30%. NOK is down by a similar amount last around the 10.4350/00 region.
