USD/JPY Back Sub 140.00

JPY

JPY is firmer in latest dealings, the pair at fresh lows for the session in the 139.85/90 region. This is -0.30% below NY closing levels. There doesn't appear to be an obvious catalyst for the move, with US yields ticking down from session highs, while US equities remain in the red, likely supports though. There isn't much else going on in the G10 space.

  • We did have Suzuki comments earlier but they were sometime ago.
  • This past week we have seen USD/JPY dips sub 139.50 supported, so this region may be eyed on the downside.
  • We are around 40mins away from when the BOJ watch window will kick off.
