USDCAD Dips Into Oversold Territory As It Tests Mid-Nov Low

CANADA
  • USDCAD has seen a latest dip as equities and WTI nudge session highs in tandem, testing 1.3226 (Nov 15, 2022 low) with a low of 1.3221.
  • The pair has cleared multiple support levels today and it pushes into oversold territory with a 14-day RSI of 29.5. As noted earlier, it was last at this level in mid-April before bouncing.
  • A continued push lower of this key support could open 1.3154 (Sep 15, 2022 low).
  • Ahead, early appearances from the Fed's Bullard and Waller are expected to be particularly hawkish after yesterday's dot plot showed one member eyeing four further hikes this year and two members eyeing three, although if they don't live up to this renewed hawkish expectation it could offer some additional downward pressure.
