Venezuela’s Cardon Refiner Halts Production

OIL

Venezuela’s second largest refinery, Cardon, stopped production on Monday night because of a failure at a reformer, workers at the facility told Reuters.

  • The unit has a capacity to process 45kbpd and is expected to be offline for around 25 days. Its Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC) unit remained operational. The unit has operated intermittently last year.
