Vol. Not Testing Recent Extremes

JGBS

Although the JPX JGB Vol. Index has ticked higher in recent days it remains comfortably shy of the recent spike highs observed around BoJ meetings and challenges of the BoJ’s YCC cap (under a couple of iterations). A quick reminder that most do not expect a move at today’s BoJ decision, although this comes with varying levels of confidence, given the December surprise and the fact that this is outgoing Governor Kuroda’s final meeting.
