US NATGAS: Waha Rises on Day

The Waha gas hub in Texas is up by 45 cents/MMBtu today, according to NGI. Higher domestic demand, stronger flows to Mexico, and below-average daily Permian production are likely supportive.
- Total gas demand in the US Gulf region is up to 39.6 bcf/d, compared to 38.9 bcf/d yesterday, according to Bloomberg. The 30-day moving average is 38.3 bcf/d.
- Permian output fell 6% to 19.20 bcf/d from 20.42 bcf/d yesterday. The 30-day moving average is 19.61 bcf/d.
- Overall dry gas production in Texas is 1.4 bcf/d lower day-on-day at 29.2 bcf/d. The 30-day average is 29.4 bcf/d.
- Exports to Mexico from the US Gulf are stronger at 5.8 bcf/d, compared to 5.5 bcf/d yesterday, Bloomberg said.
- Gas outflows from the Gulf region to other areas of the US are up by around 0.8 bcf/d to 12.4 bcf/d and compared to the 30-day moving average of 11.5 bcf/d.
