Waiting For BoJ


JGB futures finished the morning session at 147.36, 15 ticks above last settlement and 21 ticks off earlier highs. Cash yields are little changed, save for underperforming 10s. All eyes are on the BoJ, set to announce their monetary policy decision at any point from now.

  • The take-up in the BoJ's fixed-rate operation today was Y1.76tn. It was slightly less than the record Y2.21tn bought on Tuesday, but still a sizeable amount.
