GILT SUMMARY: Warring factions within the Conservative Party have come out at
the party conference, adding to the continuous newsflow around Brexit but
providing little of substance to alter PM Theresa May's negotiating strategy.
- UK gilt yields have pushed higher from the open, with the curve broadly
unchanged.
- The benchmark 2-year gilt trades at a yield of 0.839% from a low of 0.820% and
the 10-year trades at 1.595% from 1.573%.
- The 2s10s spread trades at 74.9bps and the 2s30s at 108.9bps.
- Short sterling futures are 2.0-3.0 ticks lower.
- Today sees the release of consumer credit, money supply and manufacturing PMI
data at 0930BST.
