  • At 9:30BST / 10:30CET BOE's Broadbent will give a speech entitled "The inflationary consequences of real shocks" at Imperial College. Broadbent is normally relatively guarded about his views on how he will vote in upcoming meetings, but his comments will be watched closely nonetheless.
  • Other speakers today include Norges Bank Governor Ida Wolden Bache, ECB's de Cos and Fed's Harker. After the European close we will also hear from Fed's Jefferson, Cook and Bowman (although none of those are due to speak on monpol).
  • On the data front we have already seen German PPI come in higher than expected and we have French confidence data and Eurozone current account data due this morning. In the afternoon we will see the Philly Fed, weekly claims and existing home sales data.
