ENERGY
- The latest Baker Hughes rig count data is due for release at 18:00GMT. The oil rig count last week was the lowest since October at 609 as drilling has slowed in response to the fall in prices since the middle of 2022. The gas rig count has seen a recovery in recent weeks up to 160 last week.
- The ICE and Nymex commitment of traders reports will be released after the close today at 18:30BST and 15:30EST. Managed money net long positions in crude and Gasoil have increased in recent weeks with ICE Brent positions up to the highest since March and ICE Gasoil the highest since May.
