ENERGY
- The latest Baker Hughes rig count data is due for release at 13:00ET. The data last week showed gas rigs numbers steady at the lowest since April 2022 at 141 after the big fall the previous week. The oil rig count followed the decline last week down to 575 to the lowest since June 2022.
- The ICE and Nymex commitments of traders reports are due for release after the close today at 18:30BST and 15:30EST. Crude oil managed money net long positions fell to the lowest since December last week while ICE Gasoil positioning was still showing a net short despite recovering slightly on the week.
