What to Watch: IEA Report and Weekly Stock Data

ENERGY
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Oct 21 will be released this afternoon at 15:30BST. The expectation is for a smaller build than recent weeks of 61bcf after a week of above normal demand. Last week saw a build of +111bcf and the 5-year average for this time of year is +70bcf.
  • The updated Insights Global European ARA product inventories will be released today. ARA Gasoil stocks were well below normal at 1.646m mt last week with the 5-year average at 2.48m mt for this time of year. ARA Gasoline stocks were last week at 1.23m mt with the average of 0.94m mt for this time of year.
  • The ECB also meet today with the rate announcement at 13:15 is the highlight of the day ahead. Markets are pricing in around 73bp (so almost fully pricing 75bp).
  • The IEA World Energy Outlook will be released at 10:00 BST providing analysis and insights on the energy systems across the globe.
