What to Watch: Weekly API Stocks

  • The latest weekly API oil inventory data is due for release after the close today at 16:30 EST ahead of the EIA data tomorrow. Low product inventory levels are giving some support to prices but concerns for demand are currently outweighing any tightness in product supply. The expectation for data this week is for a small draw in crude and gasoline stocks and a small build in distillates.
  • China oil product output data is expected on Wednesday following on from the weak economic data and lower apparent oil demand data released yesterday.
