Will The BoJ Act?

JGBS

JGB futures shed 7 ticks in the final overnight session of last week, with another fresh cycle low registered in the process, although the contract managed to pull back from worst levels of the session.

  • The local docket is empty on Monday. Participants will be on the lookout for BoJ action when it comes to enforcing the upper end of its permitted -/+0.25% 10-Year JGB yield trading band after the extension of core global FI weakness on Friday (note that 10-Year JGB yields closed at 0.24% on Friday). Meanwhile, participants will also be aware of the proximity to Tuesday’s 40-Year JGB auction.
