Workers At French Refineries Continue Strike Action

Deliveries remain blocked from entering TotalEnergies’ refineries and depots and Exxon Mobil’s Fos refinery as workers extended a strike over planned pension reforms to a fourth day according to a Total spokesperson and a CGT union representative.

  • About 40% of the morning shift of refinery operators were continuing the strike at Total’s sites, the spokesperson said.
  • Deliveries remained disrupted at the Fos refinery, operated by Exxon, while strike at the Port Jerome refinery had been lifted since Wednesday, the CGT spokesperson said.
  • Strikes at the Fos refinery were scheduled to end Thursday 9Pm but continued on Friday morning.
