Works at BP’s Whiting Refinery Ongoing

Works at BP’s 435kbpd Whiting, Indiana, refinery are still ongoing with various contractors still onsite and output may still be partially effected, GasBuddy said via X.

  • Sources told Reuters the refinery is scheduled to restart in the last week of February will resume operations at full output in March.
  • So far, the 115kbpd FCC, 80kbpd FCC and 85kbpd naphtha hydrotreater have restarted since the refinery-wide power outage on 1 February.
  • Increased activity at the 70kbpd CDU began on 24 February according to WoodMac.
  • The 255kbpd CDU, 60kbpd VDU, 70kbpd catalytic reformer, 24kbpd naphtha hydrotreater, 100kbpd cat feed hydrotreater and 56kbpd distillate hydrotreater remained offline.
