  • This appears to be a response to comments from Biden and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken this week accusing China of not acting according to its responsibilities in maintaining global security.
  • A number of analysts now speculate that the slow progress made by the Russian military in Ukraine may be recalibrating Chinese support of Russia.
  • Lawrence Norman of WSJ reported that there is still no evidence of Chinese support of Russia: 'EU official on reaction if China is helping Russia on Ukraine. Says no evidence thus far...'For me, concern is not a strategy...We will deal with evidence and we will respond in the right way.''
