US TSYS: Yields have moved higher as participants return from the elongated
holiday weekend in the States. T-Notes last -0-03 at 131-20, yields are
1.1-3.3bp higher across the curve, with some bear steepening in play.
- A stable yuan fix and headlines noting that China is set to release laws re:
Fentanyl soon applied some further pressure, before China downplayed its part in
the Fentanyl issues in the U.S.
- Truth be told, it was a muted overnight session outside of a couple of limited
bursts of activity.
- Markit & ISM manufacturing surveys provide the highlights of the economic
docket on Tuesday, while Fed's Rosengren (dissenting voter at the Fed's most
recent MonPol decision) is the sole Fed speaker on the slate.
- Also, a reminder that corporate supply will come back under the microscope
after the "summer hiatus."
