US TSYS
US TSYS: A limited range for Tsys overnight, with little in the way of tier one
news flow during Asia-Pac hours. T-Notes last unch. at 127-11+, with yields
0.5-1.0bp lower across the curve.
- This comes after the provisional debt ceiling deal & reports that U.S. off'ls
will head to China on Monday applied weight to the space during Tuesday's
session. On the latter, CNBC sources were a little more sanguine, as they
suggested that "a deal is not viewed as near" & that "U.S. off'ls have
suggested they could roll back the tariffs in exchange for Beijing making the
deal legally binding - something it backtracked on in May."
- A wide-spanning DOJ probe into tech names may have helped to lay a base for
the contract for now.
- Flow-wise, the overnight highlight was a 5.0K block trade in the USU9 152/150
put spread, with market sources indicating that it was initiated by a buyer.
- Eurodollar futures are unch. through the reds on light volumes.
- The latest round of flash PMI data headlines the local docket today, with eyes
also on former Special Consel Mueller's testimony on the Hill.
