DOLLAR: A similar start to yesterday has seen the dollar pare Asia losses to
register gains against most majors, except CHF & JPY. DXY reclaims the 95.00
handle and 50-dma with gains extending to 95.17. Consolidation above the 21-dma
(95.54) can look to challenge the double-top resistance area through 95.70/75
before making an attempt at 96.00 and the ytd high of 96.98. Gold recoveries
have been capped ahead of $1200, the improving dollar pressured to the $1196

at $1189.69.
