A Touch Lower Early On

AUSSIE BONDS

YM & XM have drifted lower in early Sydney trade, with the former +1.5 and the latter unch. as of typing. This is perhaps a case of some local reaction to the twist steepening that the U.S. Tsy curve was subjected to on Wednesday, which Aussie bond futures managed to escape overnight, while T-Notes have ticked ever so slightly lower since their own reopen (although that move is very marginal). A reminder that QTC is set to issue a new Aug '33 bond today, of benchmark size, related hedging may pressure XM around pricing.
