Al Zour, Duqm and Dangote Boosting Global Clean Product Flows

OIL PRODUCTS

The Al Zour, Dangote and Duqm refineries are now exporting ~650,000 bpd of clean petroleum products onto international markets according to June projections by Vortexa.

  • Al Zour is based in Kuwait, Dangote in Nigeria and Duqm in Oman. The new refining capacity is set to shake-up global oil product flows as runs are expected to increase further.
  • Gasoline deliveries from Nigeria's Dangote refinery are delayed until July for example according to Aliko Dangote speaking with Nigerian media Channels TV last week.
  • The refineries coming online have also been providing more availability of straight run fuel oil as they ramp up operations to higher value products.
  • Imports of straight-run fuel oil to the U.S Gulf Coast climbed to record levels last month according to Kpler due to higher supplies from Mideast and African suppliers.
