Angola’s Crude Exports Set to Fall in Sep: Reuters

Angola is set to load 33 cargoes in September compared with 40 planned for August, traders told Reuters.

  • The fall is attributed to a reduction in buying interest from China. This will potentially free up some supply which could put pressure on the region’s prices.
  • At least 13 cargoes of August-loading Angolan crude remain unsold, traders said July 16.
  • Looking at Nigerian crude, at least 30-40 August cargoes remain unsold. September’s loading programme is likely to be out late next week.
