AOFM Sketches Out Issuance Intentions For The Next FY

AUSSIE BONDS

The AOFM notes that "the issuance of Treasury Bonds in 2022-23 is expected to be around A$125 billion. Issuance of Treasury Indexed Bonds is expected to be around A$2.5 billion. Issuance of Treasury Bonds in 2021-22 is expected to be around A$100 billion (of which A$68 billion has been completed). As previously announced a new November 2033 will be issued in 2021-22. Issuance of Treasury Indexed Bonds is expected to be around A$5 billion (of which A$4.65 billion has been completed). The AOFM will remain active in the Treasury Note market with regular issuance for cash management purposes. More detailed guidance on issuance plans for the first half of 2022-23 (including any planned new maturities) will be provided on 1 July 2022."
