  • Arista Says Economy Likely Grew 2% To 3% In February (RTRS)
  • Economy Minister Jose Arista said on Monday that Peru’s economy should continue its recovery in February, according to preliminary indications. "February looks good, we're thinking of growth between 2% and 3% according to some indicators," Arista told journalists following a cabinet meeting.
  • This would extend the positive trend after the economy registered an expansion of 1.37% Y/y a month ago, boosted by manufacturing, mining and construction but nevertheless coming in under expectations.
  • Arista added that data for March also looks encouraging, with private investment expected to grow 2% and public investment up 8%.
  • The next economic activity print is scheduled on April 15.
