STOCKS: Asia-Pacific indices struggled for upside momentum early on Monday, with
Chinese bourses unwinding their early gains, adding additional pressure to the
space.
- Traders in the region continued to question the strength of the ongoing
earnings season, while Wall St.'s negative lead also weighed.
- The major indices across the region lost 0.4-0.7%, with the Hang Seng leading
the way lower.
- U.S. index futures also edged lower, with comments from U.S. President Trump
over the weekend re: the threat to shut down the government if the Democrats
don't come to the table on border security adding additional weight.
