US TSYS
US TSYS: At 08:30ET, the US Treasury will release its TBAC Minutes, TBAC
discussion charts and the sizes for upcoming auctions. Given that the Fed is now
tapering, more debt must be sold to the 'street' so auction sizes will increase
this year and this makes 08:30ET very important for the Treasury market.
- Barclays "expect the Treasury to increase the 3y issue size by $1bn, to $25bn
but for now keep 10y and 30y new issue sizes unchanged at $23bn and $15bn,
respectively. The Treasury is also likely to lay out its strategy for increasing
issuance over the coming months. We expect the Treasury to convey that increases
in auction sizes will be skewed toward the front to intermediate sector. We
expect the Treasury to initially focus on 2y, 2y FRN, 3y, and 5y tenors but at a
later date, increase 7y+ auction sizes to some extent as well."
- Information should be released here:
