AUSSIE: AUD/USD last deals at $0.7045, 11 pips lower on the day, with AUD
sitting at the bottom of the G10 currency board in the wake of softer than
forecasted Chinese data prints.
- The rate posted a leg higher, touching its session high of $0.7069 just ahead
of the release of official Chinese PMI readings, but spiked lower on the
release, as all three PMI gauges provided disappointment. Caixin m'fing PMI,
released 45 minutes after the official numbers, also missed expectations.
- Bears eye the lower 1.0% 10-DMA envelope at $0.7018, ahead of the Apr 25 low
of $0.6988. On the topside, focus falls on $0.7061, where the rate peaked
yesterday & on Friday.
- Aussie AiG m'fing PMI & final CBA m'fing PMI are due tomorrow, with building
approvals due Friday.
